Oh, these are good! A lovely milk chocolate shell containing a rich peanut butter center. There is one inevitable comparison, the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, which is valid. These do taste a lot like a PBC, but there are a few differences. The peanut butter is a little smoother, without as much of the [...]

These are part of Hershey’s La Dulceria Thalia line, marketed primarily to Latinos. Other pieces in this line are chili-flavored Jolly Ranchers, which I have yet to try. I’m a little scared of chili flavored candy, to be honest.
The outer shell is of white chocolate, with a hint of caramel, which blocks out some of [...]

This is another item which comes into the stores for the holiday season, then vanishes again. It has a strong mint scent to it, and has a nice, smooth peppermint taste. It actually reminds me a whole lot of the taste of Andes Mints, with a firmer chocolate and no green filling. It has a [...]

This is a tasty little Kiss. It’s a dark chocolate shell filled with a softer dark chocolate center. There isn’t a big difference in taste between the two layers, although the center is a little less sweet and more bitter. As a single bite-sized piece, it has a lot of things going for it. It’s [...]

I think it’s pretty clear by now that I’m not a big fan of white chocolate. There is one major exception – I love love love peppermint bark. You know, the white chocolate loaded with chips of peppermint candy, usually colored pink, that comes around during the Christmas season. The key is that it has [...]

Hershey’s Hugs came out quite some time ago. As I recall, it was the first Kiss that wasn’t either the milk chocolate or milk chocolate with almonds variety. I remember buying them when I was a kid because the concept of it seemed pretty cool.
Tastes change. I’m not going to say Hugs aren’t good – [...]

I felt ambitious enough to go out and buy the strawberry flavored dark chocolate Kisses. It just seemed, if I’m trying to do a thorough series, I should really go for the gusto.
Dark chocolate and strawberry didn’t seem like a marriage made in heaven to me. It’s not that the two flavors can’t go together [...]

You’re becoming less and less likely to find these babies. They’re a limited edition produced for 2006, so I don’t know how much longer they’ll be on shelves. Not a heck of a lot, if my taste buds serve me well.
Actually, the taste isn’t the problem. It has a really nice, natural coconut flavor. [...]

Item number four on my list of things I’ve learned in the making of this series: it’s hard to photograph Kisses in new and unique ways. I did most of the pictures in one marathon session, and I’m choosing what to do each day by picking ones out at random from a little bag by [...]

These kisses were dark chocolate with orange flavor. Well, they contained whey, so I guess they’re not totally dark chocolate, but I’m not a purist, so we’ll call it dark. There’s another fruit-flavored dark chocolate Kiss as well, strawberry, so if I’m feeling energetic enough to go out and buy these as well, we’ll see [...]
