Ferrero Garden
We need these.
Ferrero Rocher are some of my favorite affordable indulgences. I love the contrast in textures between the crunchy shell and creamy center, the coating of chopped nuts and chocolate and the whole hazelnut in the center. Ferrero Garden offers a similar experience texture-wise, and the basic concept is the same. There’s a nut center, a cream which surrounds it, a wafer shell which keeps it all together and a chocolate-crispy exterior.
Despite that, these are their own beings. The nut is an almond piece, with the exception of pistachio, which has, well, a pistachio. The cream is a fresh fruit flavor, in coconut, lemon, orange, strawberry, and a more generic citrus. The chocolate is a very thin white, just enough to hold on the cookie crumbles. The whole thing is topped off by a dab of flavored white cream and drizzled with more white chocolate. The flavors are very tasty – the lemon made me think of lemon bars, while the coconut contained slivers of the real thing.
I still prefer the chocolate, just because of my addiction to the hazelnut/chocolate combo. These are much more inviting on hot summer days, though, when the Rocher is just too heavy. So I’ll reiterate – we need these.
SCORE: 9 out of 10
Purchased at: Frankfurt Airport, Germany
Price: 5 euros

I’ve had something similar… they were so good too that they were gone pretty quickly.
June 21st, 2007 at 5:14 pmI second the motion that these should be sold in the US. Would love to try them. I’ve had Ferrero Raffaello (w/c, coconut, almond) which I liked, but maybe just a lil too much coconut.
February 1st, 2008 at 2:14 amDoes anyone know anywhere in the Uk or Europe that supplies these? (Apart from Ferrero themselves of course!)I have tried in vain to source these to use alongside other gorgeous chocolates that I use already in my gift bouquets as they look and no doubt, taste gorgeous! Please, if you can assist me then I would be most grateful.
May 11th, 2009 at 10:28 amI’m really not sure. I got mine in the Frankfort, Germany airport on a layover. I know in the US they have begun using the coconut version in the gift packs of Ferrero-Rocher, but not the other (more tasty) varieties.
May 11th, 2009 at 10:45 amIs it possible to buy Ferero Garden (all the fruity varieties) in the UK. I have had these in Germany on visits for several years now and have brought them home as gifts, but have never seen them on sale on the UK.
