Orange Marshmallow Pumpkin

I don’t know if I would call this a pumpkin. More of a fig, maybe. I suppose it’s hard to force a marshmallow into any shape, without drying it into a crispy, crackly crunch (hello, Lucky Charms!).  It’s a reasonably good facsimile.

I’m not sure if the chocolate is flavored, or if it has picked up flavor from the marshmallow, but it has a pretty strong orangey flavor to it. The marshmallow is a vivid, highlighter orange, just as it looks on the packaging. It’s a light and fluffy filling, and the chocolate is, as far as I can tell, the typical Hershey’s chocolate. The flavor is artificial orange, and is sort of like eating fluffy Tang. Whether that’s good or not depends upon your feelings towards Tang. For me, that feeling is “meh.” I neither like it nor do I dislike it. It’s just there. The combination with chocolate makes it a little better. I would say this falls into the category of, “I’ll eat it if it’s there, but I won’t go out of my way to get it,” plus a point for smelling really good and a great color combination for the season. I’m into the aesthetics of the thing.
